Honda CB72/77 and dirivatives 5 speed road ratio gear kit.
 
Because of a pent up demand from Honda CB72 and Honda CB77 enthusiasts we decided to look into the feasability of having a 5 speed road ratio gear set produced to satisfy this demand.

In conjunction with Nova Racing Transmissions Ltd, who manufacture the velocette 5 speed gearset exclusively for us, we have developed and commissioned this new 5 speed road ratio gear set for the Honda CB72 and Honda CB77 and derivatives.

The gear set has been produced to the same exacting standards as the current race ratio set that withstands the rigours of the race track.

It is not a modification of the old gears nor does it require the owner to source a third selector fork or slip the clutch unesessarily to pull away. All parts are supplied.

Unlike the race set, these completely new road ratios are sympathetic to the stop start conditions encountered in traffic. Performance is greatly improved as the motor is kept within the power band thus enhancing the sporting nature of these machines especially when riding two up.

All of the old problems have been designed out as the layshaft and sleeve gear now  run on ultra free spinning needle roller bearings, this alone, shows performance gains. Gone is the old vague selector mechanism, now replaced with an entirely new positive stop arrrangement

Forget swapping the original gears about in the box only to create a performance deficit  elsewhere! This is how Honda should have made it in the first place!
